Colin Cooper has urged his side to be at their best in both boxes this weekend as they look to bring home maximum points from Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Daggers currently lie ninth in the League Two table and will be feeling good about themselves following an eye-catching 1-0 win at high-flying Rochdale last weekend.
But the Pools boss is confident his side can conjure enough in the final third to trouble their hosts but wants them to make sure they make that count and back it up with some more strong defending.
“When Dagenham came to The Vic I was impressed with them,” Cooper told Pools Player.
“They played with two out-and-out wide men so they look to be expansive and now they have genuine strikers in there as well.
“They’re coming off the back of a cracking result at Rochdale too; having watched the game I think Rochdale will be unhappy they lost, but Dagenham stayed in the game and then found a way to nick the win.
“And with someone like Rhys Murphy in and around the eighteen-yard box you always have to be on our toes so we’ll have to be at our best on Saturday.
“We have to be stubborn, keep the ball out of our net for as long as possible because every game has shown that we will create opportunities.
"When we get those opportunities – and we might only get one or two away from home – you have to take them to give yourselves a chance.”
