Colin Cooper kept up a Hartlepool United tradition on Thursday afternoon when he presented a framed shirt to Jack Barmby after the on-loan youngster made his senior debut for the Club.
Barmby joined the Club on loan from Manchester United at the end of January and announced his First Team bow with a stunning goal after coming off the bench in the 2-0 win over York City.
Pools always honour players who make their senior debuts for the Club by framing the shirt they wore in the game and boss Colin Cooper was delighted to make the presentation in front of the rest of the players and staff.
“He doesn’t belong to us but he made his league debut for us,” Cooper explained before handing over the memento to the 19-year-old.
“Hopefully you will go on to bigger and better things with Manchester United in the future, but we are very proud that you started your Football League career at Hartlepool United.”
