Walker Pens New Deal With Pools

29 August 2014

The Club are delighted to announce that Brad Walker has this morning signed a new contract.

18-year-old Walker progressed from the Youth Team set-up to a First Team regular in 2013/14 and the Club have been keen to reward him for his performances last season.

The midfielder started out last pre-season with John Hewitson’s Youth Team but quickly forced his way into Colin Cooper’s plans and finished the campaign with 31 First Team starts and 3 goals to his name.

Walker earned a call-up to a couple of England Under 18’s training camps last season and also won the LFE Apprentice of the Year for League 2 award at the Annual Football League event.

And Manager Colin Cooper was delighted to be able to reward Walker for his progression at the Club so far,

“We’re delighted we’ve been able to give Brad a new contract” he told

“He put in some excellent performances last season and has shown the signs that he’s going to be able to do that again this year.

“He’s another young talented player at the Club and we’re all really pleased to be able to reward him for the strides he has made at such a young age.”
