Pools Secure Signature Of Michael Woods

8 August 2014

Michael Woods has completed a move to Pools after agreeing terms with the Club at the end of a successful pre-season trial at Victoria Park.

The midfielder has spent time training with the squad during pre-season and played in our friendlies at Bradford Park Avenue and Spennymoor Town.

Woods began his career in the youth set-up at Leeds United before moving on to Chelsea in 2006 where he spent time in the Reserves prior to making his First Team debut at Macclesfield Town in January 2007.

The former England Youth international moved on loan to Notts County in November 2010 and then signed non-contract terms with Yeovil Town in the summer of 2011 and Doncaster Rovers in 2012.

After a spell in non-league with Harrogate Town, Woods was keen to prove himself again and has now done enough on trial with Pools to convince Colin Cooper to give him a deal at The Vic.

The 24-year-old will wear number 14 for Pools during the 2014/15 campaign.
