H’Angus the Monkey will spend the rest of the day drying off after the Pools mascot accepted his nomination for the Ice Bucket Challenge!
The monkey man was nominated for the challenge by Peter Burrow (his mascot mate at Peterborough United) and he was at the training ground to complete it on Thursday morning.
Full-back Darren Holden did the honours by showing cards revealing H’Angus’ nominations – which were Sunderland mascots Samson and Delilah, Iron Maiden’s Janick Gers and Meat Loaf!
And with those formalities out of the way, it was left to Dan Jones and Lewis Hawkins to thoroughly drench him with a hefty bucket loaded by iced water!
H’Angus was the latest in a long line of people connected with the Club to carry out the charity challenge, following boss Colin Cooper and players Marlon Harewood, Scott Flinders, Jordan Richards, Jonathan Franks, Neil Austin and Sam Collins among others.
