Burton Albion v Hartlepool United

The Opposition
Burton Albion have just about sewn up their place in the League Two play-offs for the second consecutive season though defeat at Northampton Town last time out was a disappointment.

The Brewers currently lie fifth in the table and are seven points in front of eighth spot ahead of the Good Friday fixtures so will be feeling confident of ensuring a play-off berth.

Albion have been in the Football League since 2009 after winning the Conference title but they are vying for a promotion to League One for the first time in their history.

Form has been up and down in recent weeks an only two wins from the last seven have affected their chances of snatching automatic promotion.

However, on home soil they are usually strong having won ten of their outings on home soil and not tasted defeat on their own patch twice since November.

Last Meeting
Brad Walker came off the bench to rescue a point for Pools when the two sides met at Victoria Park earlier in the season.

The teenager rammed home his first goal in Pools colours to cancel out Phil Edwards’ first half opener and ensure the teams shared the spoils in their first-ever league meeting.

Head To Head

Team News
Colin Cooper is hoping to have Andy Monkhouse available for selection following a hamstring problem but Christian Burgess won’t feature due to his ankle injury.

Fans can buy their tickets direct from Burton Albion on the turnstiles prior to kick-off.
