Pools have been drawn away to Sheffield United in the Second Round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Having seen off Bradford City 5-0 in the First Round, Colin Cooper’s men were included in the draw which was made live on Soccer AM on Saturday morning.
The Blades made it through to Round Two after overcoming Scunthorpe United on a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw at Glanford Park on Tuesday.
Last time Pools made the trip to Sheffield United was at the end of 2012, when goals from Steve Howard (2) and Ritchie Humphreys helped them to a superb 3-2 win at Bramall Lane.
