Colin Cooper has said that he will be talking to Middlesbrough over the next couple of days to try and iron out a new loan deal for Matty Dolan.
The midfielder’s current loan agreement at The Vic expired following his goalscoring performance in the victory over AFC Wimbledon but the Pools boss is keen to extend that in to a third month.
“I’ll be speaking to the Chief Executive at Middlesbrough to see what we can get sorted out,” Cooper explained.
“When I first came to the Club I earmarked Matty as one of the players I would like to bring in and I would love to keep him here for as long as possible.
“That’s not my decision though, so we will have the conversation with Middlesbrough in the coming days and hopefully we can do something.”
Dolan has made ten appearances in his first two months at Pools, scoring for the first time during the 3-1 win over The Dons on Tuesday night.
