We look ahead to tonight's Middlesbrough Under 21 game at The Vic - and there'll be at least one familiar face on show.
Dimi Konstantopoulos will be in action at Victoria Park tonight – when he plays in goal for Middlesbrough’s Under 21s against Southampton (7pm kick-off).
The 34-year-old has clearance to feature, as sides are allowed to name one over-age goalkeeper as well as three over-age outfield players.
It will be the first time the Greek keeper has played at The Vic since the final game of the 2006/07 promotion season after which he left for Coventry City.
Konstantopoulos made 139 appearances for Pools during a four-year stay during which he became a huge favourite for the Victoria Park faithful.
It’s the third time the Teessiders’ Under 21 outfit have played at Pools, having previously hosted Leicester City and Wolves in the Barclays Under 21 Premier League.
Kick-off in tonight’s game against The Saints is 7pm and adults pay just £3 for admission, while Boro Season Card holders can get in for free.
