Team News: Pools v Rotherham United

11 November 2013

We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead Tuesday night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Rotherham United at Victoria Park (7pm kick-off).

Colin Cooper will be able to call upon central defender Christian Burgess who is back in contention after sitting out Saturday’s win over Notts County through suspension.

The Pools boss has no new injury worries to contend with ahead of the tie, with only young defender Dan Jones on the sidelines following a knee operation.

Millers Manager Steve Evans could be without midfielder Michael O’Connor who has pulled out of the Northern Ireland squad for Friday’s friendly against Turkey due to injury.

Competition rules state that clubs must select a minimum of six of the eleven players who played in the game previous to the tie or in the game immediately afterwards – or six of the top eleven appearance-makers for the season so far.
