Matty Dolan has extended his stay at Victoria Park in to a fourth month after a new loan deal was agreed with his parent club Middlesbrough.
His third month on loan expired following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Northampton Town but boss Colin Cooper admitted afterwards that he was working on securing a renewal.
The midfielder has made sixteen appearances and scored one goal since joining Pools on loan from the Riverside outfit at the end of August.
Dolan, 20, will now remain with Pools in to the New Year, with the deal struck between the clubs enabling him to play in all games up to and including the trip to Southend United on Saturday 4th January.
“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to extend Matty’s stay again,” Cooper commented.
“It’s great that we’ve been able to get the deal done with Middlesbrough and I’d like to thank them for their help with it.
“Now Matty can get his head down and concentrate on what will be a busy period of games taking us through in to the New Year,” he added.
