South East Poolies' Stuart Miller gives us an update on their Player of the Year vote.Firstly, many thanks to all those who voted for this year's Player of the Year. Although a few names were mentioned the same two kept coming up time and again.
This year's winner is...
Scott has had a fantastic season and it is frightening to think how bad things could have been if had not been for some of his performances.
After showing huge promise as a youngster, his career had stalled after a lot of loan moves before joining Pools.
During his time at The Vic he has shown why he was so highly-rated as a young player, but it is during this past season that he has really displayed consistency and that he has the ability to perform at a much higher level.
And the runner up for the award goes to Jack Baldwin.
In his second season with Pools, Jack has shown that despite his youth he has the maturity and intelligence to perform in a number of positions.
Already a favorite with the fans, he has shown passion, commitment and hard work whatever position he plays in.
This is especially pleasing for the South East Poolies, who sponsor his away shirt, partly as a result of him being born in the South East and starting his career at Faversham Town FC.
Like Scott Flinders, Jack has the ability to progress to a much higher level, especially if he maintains the same professional approach that has been evident so far in his short career.
The Player of the Year Trophy has been purchased and will be sent up to the Club to pass on to Scott.
All the best,
