When Pools fan Brendan Jackson went to Victoria Park for his Season Ticket on Saturday he got more than he bargained for - it was sold to him by new boss Colin Cooper!Pools' new man in charge had been at The Vic to meet the press for the first time following his appointment on Friday and surprised fans by making an impromptu appearance in the Ticket Office.
"It was a real bonus to have my tickets presented to me in that fashion," laughed Brendan, who paid a bargain £200 for Season Tickets for himself and his six-year-old son Oscar.
"I was happy to buy my Season Ticket whoever was in the manager's chair but to have Colin Cooper here to pass it to me personally was brilliant!
"I think it could be a good appointment and I told him that I will be 100% behind him and Craig Hignett in the new season and giving them a fair crack of the whip."
Product manager Brendan, who lives in the Bishop Cuthbert area of the town, says he is looking forward to the new campaign now having taken advantage of the Season Ticket offer once more.
"I have always been a regular at The Vic but work sometimes get in the way and I can't get to every single game," he explained.
"However, even if I miss three or four the offers that have been on in recent years have meant it's still worthwhile getting a Season Ticket so I was always going to renew and get behind the lads."
