We bring you the definitive guide to Saturday's League One game against Coventry City at The Ricoh Arena (3pm kick-off).npower League One
Coventry City v Hartlepool United
Saturday 16th March 2013
When Coventry City formed the opposition for John Hughes' first game in charge of Pools back at Victoria Park in November, the Sky Blues were sitting close to the relegation zone.
However, a run of just one defeat between then and the start of the New Year hoisted them in to play-off contention and despite more regular defeats since then, they still lie just six points shy of the top six.
Financial concerns have formed the backdrop for their campaign, having suffered ongoing problems with ACL (the management company behind their Ricoh Arena home).
These issues have led to a fresh statement on Thursday in which City Chief Exec Tim Fisher said they were working to find "the best way forward to try to minimise damage to the club".
Fisher insists they will focus entirely on Saturday's game with Pools and attempt to build on the draw they grabbed with a last-minute equaliser against Colchester United.
Head To Head
Saturday will be just the ninth time the two sides have collided in competitive action and only the second time in the league since April 1959.
On that occasion Pools won 2-1 thanks to goals from Terry MacGregor and Harry Clark though that is one of only three victories over the Sky Blues, the most recent in 2009 when Adam Boyd's extra time goal settled a Ricoh Arena League Cup tie.
Historically, Coventry have the edge having won five of the previous encounters - none of the eight games have finished in draws.
