John Hewitson's side concede seven against BurtonPools suffered a heavy defeat at home to Burton Albion in their Youth Alliance match on Saturday.
After a poor start to the game, Pools quickly found themselves behind - and it was downhill from there.
Poor defending from corners saw the visitors capitalise on two occasion and there was worse to come as Burton strolled to a 5-0 lead by half time.
John Hewitson's side were brighter after the break and there were chances for Connor Halpin before Andy Bridges pounced to slot home a consolation goal.
But there were more mistakes to come from Pools on a disappointing afternoon and the game finished 7-1.
"It was a dismal display," Hewitson conceded.
"There were far too many critical individual errors and these coming so early in the game cost us dearly.
"But we'll make sure the boys look back at the game and learn from it."
