This week has seen yet another member of our Pools Goldline pick up a winning £500 cheque.
Spike Phelps was at The Vic this week to pick up his winnings from Pools Chief Executive Russ Green.
Mr Phelps has been a member of various Club lottery schemes since 1995 and was only too pleased to sign up to Pools Goldline and continue his support of Youth Development.
Many supporters could well recognise Mr Phelps, who has been a matchday lottery seller at The Vic for many years now,
“I’ve been working at the Club on a matchday for over 16 years so this is a nice little bonus after all that time,” Mr Phelps told us.
“I’ll be back to work next season as well, I’m really looking forward to it.
“Next year will be the 50th anniversary of my first match at The Vic, which was against Exeter City in 1964.”
And despite wife Margaret being keen for the winning money to be spent on a holiday and clothes, Mr Phelps had other ideas,
“I’ve got my eye on a new laptop so that’s definitely what I’ll be spending the money on.”
If you fancy being in with a chance of winning £500, why not sign up to Pools Goldline?
70p of every £1 you pay in each week also goes straight back into the Club’s Youth Development fund.
