Keeper Set For Friendly Run-Out

17 July 2013

Scott Flinders will make his first appearance of pre-season in tonight’s friendly against Whitby Town at The Turnbull Ground (7pm kick-off).

The keeper missed the team's two games in Holland with a slight thigh problem but is now back to fitness and will play forty-five minutes against The Seasiders.

Colin Cooper is expected to ring the changes at half time with an all-new eleven set to take to the field for the second half of tonight’s game, including a first pre-season run-out for Steve Howard.

The Pools boss is also taking the chance to run the rule over triallist Michael Duckworth who will start at full-back, while Nialle Rodney will get another opportunity to impress after half time.

We’ll have a full report from the game here on the Official Website following the final whistle.

Pools: Flinders, Duckworth, Collins, Baldwin, Holden, Franks, Walton, Sweeney, Compton, Monkhouse, James.
