Pools Youth Team picked up a point from their Youth Alliance match at Bradford City.
John Hewitson’s side dominated the second half after a tight first forty-five but just failed to find that winning goal.
Pools started brightest, putting the Bantams under some real pressure and forcing the opposition keeper into making some good saves.
Andy Bridges was lively for Pools, pressing the full back at every opportunity.
Hewitson’s side continued to press after the break and created numerous chances; Tom Mitchinson hitting a few good chances but just not finding the net.
Brad Walker went very close with a freekick and then with a chipped effort but still Pools failed to beat the keeper.
With further chances for Connor Smith and Kieran Green, Pools had enough chances to win the game but failed to convert and the match finished all square.
“This was a dominant performance from a very young Pools side,” Hewitson told hartlepoolunited.co.uk.
“They’re an exciting bunch of players and we will continue to work together to make sure they start putting those chances away.”
