Charlie Wyke has admitted that he's delighted to have sorted out his short-term future by extending his loan at Pools until the end of the season.
The young Middlesbrough striker has impressed during his three months at Victoria Park so far but has insisted there is more to come between now and the end of the campaign.
"I'm really glad to be staying; I've started playing games now and it's great experience for me," he told us.
"I've loved my time at the Club so far; everything about being involved with the First Team has been brilliant so I always wanted to stay.
"The training has been excellent; I just can't wait to get out there every day - what better thing is there to be doing?
"I think I've done quite well in the games I've played but I know I can improve and do better so hopefully now I can get among the goals.
"It's settled now for the rest of the season so that's off my mind and I can just concentrate on the games and doing what I can to help the team."
Wyke will now be part of the travelling squad for this weekend's trip to Shrewsbury Town and the 20-year-old is confident that Pools can bring home a positive result.
"They've been doing alright recently but anything can happen in football and we'll go there and be positive and determined," he insisted.
"We all just have to keep our heads up and keep working as hard as possible and the results will start coming for us."
