School Of The Week: West Park

18 December 2013

We welcome our latest School of the Week to Victoria Park.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s (21st December, 3pm kick off) match with Burton Albion at The Vic and we’re delighted to have another local school coming along to play a part in the matchday experience.

Pupils from West Park Primary School in Hartlepool will help to lead the players out onto the pitch, in the role of Player Escorts, while we will have another group of West Park pupils forming a flag-waving Guard of Honour to welcome the teams.

Here we find out a little more about our latest School of the Week, West Park Primary;

"West Park is a primary school for boys and girls from the age of four to eleven.

"In addition we also have an integrated nursery class with children from the age of three years old.

"We are situated on Coniscliffe Road on the western fringes of Hartlepool.  There are currently over 360 children on roll, including 52 children in our part-time Nursery.

"Our motto is ‘Learning To Improve’ and we aim to ensure that is what all children at West Park do each day they come to school.

"We have developed what we feel is a creative curriculum which means that children have a variety of opportunities in school to enjoy.

"The group of children which will be visiting Victoria Park are keen footballers and are very much looking forward to spending their day at Pools."
