Jack Baldwin is looking to put Tuesday night's defeat behind him as he focuses on Saturday's match with Burton Albion.
Goalscorer Jack Baldwin admitted to feeling ‘gutted’ after conceding a goal at the death in Tuesday night’s FA Cup Second Round Replay at Coventry City.
When Baldwin headed the equaliser in the 87th minute, Pools looked to have taken the tie to extra time but they were dealt a cruel blow as Leon Clarke grabbed the winner on 92 minutes.
“To keep ourselves in the game and get back in it so late and then obviously they get a freekick and put it in and get a scrappy goal - it is gutting,” Baldwin told Pools Player after the game.
“To come away with nothing is very frustrating but we have to look ahead to Saturday now and bounce back against Burton.
“Personally with my celebration when I scored, I was really fired up and looking at a few of the players coming to congratulate me and I was feeling like we could go on and get something from the game in extra time if not before the final whistle but it wasn't to be.
“But the Christmas period starts on Saturday, the games are coming thick and fast and we have to bounce back against Burton.
“We have to put this to the back of our minds now and focus on Burton.”
