Team News: York City v Pools

15 August 2013

We bring you the latest news from both camps ahead of Saturday’s League Two game against York City at Bootham Crescent (3pm kick-off).

Colin Cooper is set to be without midfielder Antony Sweeney for the weekend’s game at York City after he injured a calf in Saturday’s clash with Southend United.

The skipper underwent a scan earlier in the week which identified a small tear in his calf which is likely to see him sidelined for the trip to Bootham Crescent.

Steve Howard has been putting in extra work to increase his fitness and the veteran striker could be challenging for a starting role against The Minstermen.

York boss Nigel Worthington will be without Estonian international winger Sander Puri who is ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Other than that, City have no new injury worries ahead the game.
