Boss Seeking Home Comforts

9 August 2013

Colin Cooper has called on the supporters to turn up the volume at Victoria Park on Saturday and help roar Pools to three points against Southend United.

The Pools boss is looking forward to taking charge of his first competitive game on home soil and is hoping it can be a winning start at The Vic.

And after defeat to Rochdale in the opening game of the new season, Cooper says the fans can play a large role in helping them bounce back with victory over The Shrimpers.

“It has the makings an exciting game and we’re all really looking forward to it,” Cooper told us.

“It’s the first opportunity for Craig and I to show the home fans what we’re all about in a competitive game and hopefully they will be able to see what we’re trying to do.

“We have been working very hard to ensure that we give the fans something they will enjoy watching and we’ll be doing all we can to try and send them home happy.

“I’ve said all along that we’re going to need our supporters this season – we want to make it us against the world and the fans are a massive part of that.

“We’re a young side and we might need patience, but if everyone sticks with us then we’re convinced we can build a successful future for the Club.”
