Team News: Colchester United v Pools

27 September 2012

Neale Cooper will keep an eye on Steve Howard's shin injury in the build-up to Saturday's League One game against Colchester United at The Weston Homes Community Stadium (3pm kick-off).

The striker had six stitches to the area during half time in Pools' game at Preston last Tuesday but played with padding in the fixture with Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.

Simon Walton also has a slight ankle problem but is expected to be fit to travel, leaving long-term absentee Andy Rafferty as Cooper's only real injury concern.

New Colchester boss Joe Dunne has moved quickly to secure three new signings who all go straight in his squad for Saturday's game.

Former Leyton Orient and Walsall striker Jabo Ibehre, along with young Arsenal duo Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt have all joined on three-month loan deals.

All three will go straight in to contention for starting spots in the U's line-up at the weekend.
