Ryder Cup Repeat Inspires Cooper

2 October 2012

Neale Cooper has revealed how a repeat viewing of Sunday night's Ryder Cup glory has helped re-motivate him following defeat to Colchester United.

The Pools boss was so impressed with how the European team beat the odds to come from behind to overcome the Americans that he watched the whole lot again on Monday evening.

Now he wants his players to take on board the never say die attitude of those who completed the 'Medinah Miracle' and build their own momentum in the coming weeks.

"If you can't get inspired by watching that then you may as well give up," Cooper commented.

"I watched it all through again on Monday night because it was just so good - it was magic the way it all unfolded, it was sport at its very finest.

"If we can get a win under our belts and build some momentum then the confidence will quickly rise too and with that the performances will improve so that's what we have to do."
