Monkhouse Ankle Injury To Be Assessed

6 October 2012

Winger to be examined at training after picking up injury during Crewe game.

Andy Monkhouse could be set for a spell on the sidelines after injuring his ankle in the first half of the game at Crewe Alexandra.

Monkhouse was forced off inside ten minutes at the Alexandra Stadium and will now be assessed by the Club's medical staff at the training ground in the coming days.

"Andy turned his ankle and it looks quite a sore one for him," Cooper revealed after the game.

"It's a blow for us because I think he has looked in good form over the last couple of games since coming back into the side so we'll just have to hope it's not too serious.

"He's in good hands though and we'll see how he is on Monday."
