Team News: Pools v Coventry City

15 November 2012

We look at the latest info from both camps ahead of Saturday's game at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).

New Pools boss John Hughes will be without the services of Steve Howard for his first game in charge against Coventry City at Victoria Park on Saturday.

The striker will serve a one-game suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign in last weekend's trip to Yeovil Town.

Charlie Wyke pressed his claims for inclusion with a strong performance in the Reserves on Monday night, while fellow loan striker Ryan Noble will be pushing for a recall after missing the Yeovil game through injury.

Andy Monkhouse has returned to training after an ankle injury but Saturday will come too soon for the winger; Luke James is still recuperating after a double hernia operation.

Coventry boss Mark Robins could include Gary McSheffrey on the bench for the trip to the north east, while Adam Barton is also challenging for a place in the Sky Blues squad.
