Ryan Noble will stay at The Vic for a second month after Pools reached a deal with parent club Sunderland.
Noble joined the Club at the start of October and has scored one goal in his eight outings so far - a long-range stunner in the game at Bury a fortnight ago.
His loan expired following Saturday's FA Cup game at Chesterfield but Micky Barron has moved to extend the deal and he can now be involved against Tranmere Rovers this evening.
Noble - who celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday - is in his second spell on loan at The Vic having spent two months with Pools at the end of last season.
