We get the thoughts of Chesterfield manager Paul Cook ahead of this weekend's FA Cup tie.New Chesterfield boss Paul Cook has insisted that his players focus fully on their own performances in the FA Cup tie with Pools on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The Spireites lost 1-0 at home to Barnet in their first game under Cook's leadership and he says that the team need to do what they can to give their fans a lift.
"I have respect for ever other club and team we play and the managers who come here - but we don't speak about them," he told Spireites Player.
"Other club's problems or what they're doing well is not my concern, I only want to concentrate on us and how we're going to play on Saturday.
"Steve Howard had had a great career and is a handful and if Ryan Noble plays up front with him he's a threat - but you could go through Hartlepool's team and be a bit more wary than you were before so we'll just concentrate on ourselves.
"5,600 fans turned up here last week and they need a lift - and it's up to me, my staff and the players to give them that."
