Howard Sees Key Role For Pools Fans

12 July 2012

Returning striker wants real team effort at The Vic

New signing Steve Howard has told Pools fans they can play their part in what will be a real team effort at Victoria Park during the 2012/13 campaign.

The striker reckons that it’s as important that you get things right off the pitch as you do on it if you’re to have a successful season – and he’s sure the fans will be able to do their bit.

Season Tickets for the new term remain on sale for just £155 for adults until the end of July and Howard is backing there to be a surge in sales as the excitement builds towards the big kick-off.

“I’ve seen the details of the Season Ticket offer and it’s brilliant,” Howard told us.

“I know how passionate the Hartlepool fans are about their football and we want them to come along in their numbers and really get behind the lads again in the new season.

“Last year I know the home form was a bit of a problem but we want to make sure that is vastly improved on this season and I know we can do that with the fans’ help.

“It’s important to have a good team on the pitch –but if you have a good spirit away from that too then it can be vital so we need to make sure we’re as strong as we can be.
