Team News: Sheffield United v Pools

28 December 2012

Neil Austin and Jack Baldwin will both come back in to contention for Pools ahead of their trip to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

John Hughes has been without Austin for the last four games following the full-back's second sending-off of the season, while Baldwin missed the trip to Carlisle through suspension after amassing five yellow cards.

The Pools boss has no new injury worries to contend with ahead of the game, with only Andy Rafferty now absent as he continues his rehabilitation from summer knee surgery.

Simon Walton (hamstring) and Nathan Luscombe (knee) were both back in the squad for the Boxing Day defeat at Carlisle, while Luke James also featured following a bout of tonsillitis.

Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson admitted that injuries picked up by Shaun Miller and Neill Collins put a dampener on the Blades' 3-0 win over Scunthorpe United on Boxing Day.

Miller was forced off at half time with a knee problem while former Victoria Park loan man Collins followed early in the second half with a nasty facial injury and the pair are both a doubt to face Pools.
