Nathan Thomas, Grimsby Town v Hartlepool United

Nathan Thomas’ classy chip in Pools 3-0 win at Grimsby Town in October 2016 has been voted as the Club’s Goal of the Decade.

We put together a 20-goal shortlist of some memorable strikes from the past ten years and gave Pools fans the chance to select their favourite.

Votes have been coming in thick and fast over the past week and we’re now in a position to confirm that it is wing man Thomas who has scooped the accolade in a closely-contested poll.

In second place was Michael Duckworth’s terrific goal at Carlisle United on the final day of the 2014/15 campaign, while Ryan Noble’s instinctive turn and volley at Bury in October 2012 came third in the vote.
