High-flying Eastleigh make the 600-mile round trip to the North East to take on John Askey's side on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).
Pools are searching for their second win in seven after hitting a sticky patch in form. Despite getting beat on Wednesday night at Boreham Wood, however, Hartlepool's spirited display installed confidence into the squad ahead of the weekend.
After changing their manager early on, Eastleigh have picked up results and swarmed into the play-off places under returning manager Richard Hill. They've lost just one game from their last five. Last time out, a Paul McCallum hat-trick helped the Spitfires to a 5-2 win over Ebbsfleet United.
Saturday's fixture will be the 15th meeting between the two sides. Hartlepool have only won once, in January 2020. The last meeting finished as a goalless draw in March 2021 at the Suit Direct Stadium, despite Pools playing out the second half with just ten men.
There are no changes to team availability following Wednesday's defeat at Boreham Wood. Kieran Wallace, Dan Dodds, Anthony Mancini and Callum Cooke are ruled out due to injury.
