We turn our attentions to Saturday’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League trip to Meadow Park.
Boreham Wood v Pools
Saturday 16th February 2019, 3pm
Boreham Wood come in to the game sitting just a couple of places and one point behind Pools in the National League table which adds a little more significance to the weekend’s action.
Luke Garrard’s men have struggled to find their best form during the last couple of months and approach Saturday’s fixture having won just once in their last nine National League outings.
The Wood’s last triumph came courtesy of a 1-0 win over Barnet on Boxing Day but since then they have collected only three points from an available 18.
While no player has started every game for Boreham Wood this season, Tom Champion has been about as consistent as it gets in Luke Garrard’s midfield.
The 32-year-old has missed only two National League games all term and his experience has proved crucial in The Wood’s engine room.
Signed in the summer of 2017, the former Watford trainee has also played in the colours of Cambridge United, Barnet and Lincoln City in the past.
Head To Head
Saturday’s game will be just the fourth competitive meeting between the sides and Pools have yet to be beaten by the Hertfordshire outfit.
Last term’s games both finished goalless, while Andrew Davies’ double was enough to secure a 2-0 win when The Wood came to The Super 6 Stadium in October.

Parsons’ most recent appointment came at Ebbsfleet United last month when he saw them run out 2-0 winners over Leyton Orient.
