Kenton Richardson looks likely to miss Tuesday’s trip to FC Halifax Town after being forced off with an ankle injury during the second half of the opening day defeat to Sutton United.
The full-back has been one of the standout performers during pre-season but Craig Hignett revealed that he’s set to miss at least the next week after rolling his ankle.
“It’s just a twisted ankle, I don’t think it’s anything more serious,” said Hignett.
“It will probably mean he will miss the next couple of games which is a blow for him and for us because he’s been doing so well.”
Hignett also confirmed that Peter Kioso was not in the squad on Saturday due to a calf problem, while Ryan Donaldson and Luke Williams are still lacking match fitness.
