Pools star Gavan Holohan has committed his future to the Club by signing a new contract to keep him at Victoria Park until at least the end of 2021/22.
The 28-year-old joined Pools last February, initially on a short-term deal, but he quickly proved his worth and fans were delighted when he earned an extended stay during the summer.
Holohan has scored eight times from midfield in 32 appearances this season and is also near the top of the charts for assists having created seven goals for teammates.
Boss Dave Challinor has opened talks with several of his key players as he continues to plan for the future and Holohan has now become the first to put pen to paper on a fresh deal.
The news will come as a huge boost to Pools as they prepare for another big game in the National League against Sutton United at Gander Green Lane on Saturday.
