Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation Armed Forces Veterans HUB

The Aim of the HUB is to Facilitate Veterans and serving Armed Forces Personal to meet Face to Face in a relaxed safe social environment to enjoy free light refreshments and biscuits getting together for some inter Service banter to combat loneliness and social isolation. The HUB brings together many of the ex-force’s associations in the town including the Hartlepool Towns Armed Forces Liaison Group co-ordinated by John Dauncey from HUCSF. During the session John will give details of up-and-coming events in the town and where applicable across the country as well as the latest information and advice either directly through skills and knowledge or by sign posting to the right resources you may need. The HUB often plays hosts to guest speakers from varying support agencies including Employability, Training, Physical Mental Health and specialised projects such as drugs and alcohol.

The HUB regularly run activities outside of the normal meeting days for both Veterans and their families these include, visits to museums, Remembrance events and organised sports sessions Bowls, Badminton and Walking Football.

The HUB is totally free to join you can attend as many times as you want to get together with former and in some cases serving members to re-engage with Veterans. No matter what service you have been in, there is always a warm welcome with some service banter just waiting.
