Club Saddened By Passing Of Dennis White

The Club is saddened to learn of the death of former player Dennis White, who passed away recently at the age of 70.

Hartlepool-born Dennis earned a pro deal with the Club at the end of October 1967 after debuting in the 1-1 draw against Lincoln City a fortnight earlier.

The full-back went on to form part of Pools’ first-ever promotion squad that season, playing alongside the likes of John McGovern, Ernie Phythian, John Sheridan and John Gill.

In total, Headland resident Dennis made 63 appearances for the Club with his final Pools outing coming in a game at Doncaster Rovers in April 1973.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Dennis’ wife Cath, his daughters Lisa and Victoria along with all of his family and friends.
