Michael Nelson has been answering the questions you sent in for him

Since you started with us, you have not had a specialist permanent left back playing alongside you.Has this caused you and the team any problems which could have been avoided if this position had been regularly filled by a specialist left back?It appears to me a large percentage of goals conceded come from the opponents' right hand side.

Steve Wiles

No, not really. We've had Hugh Robertson who did very well there. Ritchie Humphreys got Player of the Year playing there so it's not a problem really.

The big defender has been in superb form so far this season mainly in partnership with Ben Clark

Please be honest; where do you think we will be at the end of the season?

Johnathan Purvis

We'll hopefully we'll be in and around the play-off positions or even challenging further up than that, but we'll have to wait and see!

How has having the captaincy affected you? We think it has improved you further as a player - Micky Barron must be a worried man!

Andy Squires and Andrea Blair

Yeah, I have enjoyed having the captaincy. I don't think it's affected my game a great deal but it's a good honour to have. Micky Barron never worries!!

The 23-year-old is equally comfortable bringing the ball out of defence and push Pools forward

What do you like best about Hartlepool United?

Kate Simons

The squad we have here and the togetherness we have on and off the pitch. We all get on together - whether they've been here three years or three weeks we all get on well.

Michael Nelson gets up highest
And he uses his height well in the oppostion box to create chances for the Pools front men

Who's the best player you've played with during your time at Hartlepool?

Anonymous

Boydy was pretty good during the season when he got 29 goals. It just seemed he played brilliantly in every game and he ended up getting his move to a Championship club.

Nelson loves the way the lads get on in training, in matches and away from the football

How much do you think you can still improve as a player?

Michael Harris

Obviously quite a bit. I don't think anyone can be totally satisfied with how they are as a player; you're always looking to improve and I hope I can improve quite a bit.
