Name: Luke James

The Amble-born teenager signed a professional contract with the Club when he turned 17 in November 2011 and is rated very highly by the Pools hierarchy.

Having been with the Club since he was 12 Luke made an encouraging First Team debut when he came off the bench against Colchester United in December 2011 and he soon did enough to earn a full appearance against Rochdale.

Showing composure and tenacity well beyond his tender years the attacker harried and harassed his defenders all afternoon and capped a fine performance with a stunning twenty-five yard strike in to the top corner of the net.

Blessed with plenty of pace and determination, he has already made a big impact with supporters and could enjoy a big future in the game.
