No-nonsense central midfielder Power attracted the attention of the Pools management when he played against the Club for Nottingham Forest Reserves at the end of the 2007/2008 season.
His tough-tackling style coupled with a real eye for a pass tempted the Club to make a move for his services when he was released from the City Ground.
The Irish schemer made his First Team debut for the Club as a substitute in the Carling Cup win over Scunthorpe in August 2008 but his appearances have mainly come in the Reserves.
An uncompromising player when out of possession, Power has the ability to unlock defences when in possession.
