Having been a regular scorer for Birtley, he then made a move to Durham City where he continued to find the net prolifically.
He scored thirty times for City before Consett made their move and 43 goals in Arngrove Northern League Division One tempted Pools in to signing him in February 2007.
He made a promising start to First Team football at The Vic when he was introduced to the action in Pools' last game of the League Two campaign and had an impressive strike ruled out.
The pacy forward got more experience under his belt in League One last season, when he scored six times including a Goal of the Season contender in the game at Yeovil Town.
