The versatile and talented schemer joined Pools from Middlesbrough just after the start of the 2006/2007 season and made his debut in a Carling Cup tie at Burnley.
At home in the centre of midfield, Liddle has also operated comfortably in both right and left-back slots as well as in the centre of defence and his adaptability continues to be a bonus to the squad.
He immediately announced his arrival at The Vic with a stunning first season and was named joint Player of the Year along with Michael Nelson as Pools won promotion from League Two in 2007.
A local lad with a lot of energy, Liddle signed a new contract with the Club during the summer of 2009.
