Experienced professional Micky is the Club's longest-serving player - the 07/08 campaign will be his 12th at Victoria Park. The Club Captain has been with Pools since 1996 when he joined at the end of a successful loan spell. Despite beginning as a centre-back, Barron is now an established right-back and gives his all for the cause.
After missing the start of the promotion-winning 06/07 campaign through injury, Micky returned to action and went on to make over 30 appearances for the First Team.
In January he took over as the Club's new Youth Team Coach following the departure of Paul Stephenson to Norwich City. He's still on a playing contract with the Club but is yet to feature in the First Team this term.
