Willie joined the Club in August 2006 when he became boss Danny Wilson's first signing for Pools.
His tough-tackling style is something that Wilson had been looking to add to the squad and he certainly showed that with some robust displays in the centre of midfield.
His leadership skills and experience were another part of the reason that Pools were quick to move for him when he became available.
Willie made 32 starts during the 2007/2008 season - an indication of how important he is to the side when fully fit and firing on all cylinders.
