Brougham Pupils Put Pools Player Under Spotlight

Posted on: Wed 18 Nov 2009

Leon McSweeney was back in the classroom last week as he visited Y6 pupils from Brougham Primary School as part of their lesson in Pools Study Support Centre.

The midfielder once again proved popular with pupils as he happily answered their questions, posed for photographs and signed autographs.

Leon was only too happy to reveal to pupils that he is backing John and Edward in this year's X Factor because they make him laugh.

And when asked who his favourite player of all time was, he picked fellow Cork-born midfielder Roy Keane.

After the grilling in the classroom and then in the radio studio, pupils set about putting together the latest podcast using their new player interviews.
