Foley Helps Out In Pools Classroom

Posted on: Mon 16 Nov 2009

It's that time of term again for pupils in Pools Study Support Centre and last week, each of the classes were visited by a member of the First Team squad.

First up was David Foley who popped in to meet Y8 pupils from St Hild's.

The young forward answered pupils' questions in the classroom before heading down to go on the spot in the radio studio.

David was a big hit with pupils, answering all questions honestly and openly. And pupils found out that David rates the FA Cup game against Stoke City last season as his best for Pools and picked out Ronaldo as a player he admires.

Pupils asked the Pools' man all of the hot topics of the day - including who he felt would win X Factor (he chose Ollie!).

After revealing to pupils that if he was not a footballer, he would have joined the army, David's visit was over and the pupils were left to report on their afternoon's work.
