Players Attend Study Support Centre Evenings

Posted on: Fri 10 Jul 2009

The Playing for Success scheme came to a close for the summer this week with Presentation Evenings being held in the Centenary Lounge for the students and parents.

Despite a gruelling pre season schedule, the HUFC players still found time to attend the presentations and delight the hard working pupils.

Y7 students from English Martyrs School, Dyke House and High Tunstall College got an early chance to see new signing Adam Boyd along with Tony Sweeney at their Celebration event.

James Brown and Johnny Rowell were the guests of honour for St Joseph's RC, St Helen's and Eldon Grove Primary pupils.

HUFC's David Foley and Alan Power met the Rossmere and Grange Primary pupils and kindly gave out certificates and awards to the children.

Many thanks to the lads for making a special effort to attend the awards in very busy time of the season.

The presentations mark the end of 10 weeks hard work based at the Pools Study Support Centre this term. Well done to all the children that took part in PfS this term.

Although Playing for Success now takes a break until September, the Pools Study Support Centre will continue to be involved with young people throughout the summer, offering a range of summer school activities.
