After ending an unwanted Club record of nine straight defeats on home soil with a solid win over Rochdale three weeks ago, Cooper is hoping Pools have turned the corner in terms of results at The Vic.

And as they look forward to the visit of in-form Carlisle United, the First Team Coach is adamant his side have the spirit and character to get the three points.

"They've been going great in the league during recent months and I know the boy Lee Miller up front can be a threat," Cooper told Pools Player.

"I hear they like to play football but so do we, and we are at home and going in to the game on the back of two very good away results.

"Our last home game was a really good performance from the boys too and now we've ended that long run of defeats we want to go and win a few at home now."
