Wadsworth Happy With Character In Pools Camp

Posted on: Fri 03 Sep 2010

Mick Wadsworth has revealed that he has been extremely pleased with the character he's seen from the Pools squad since he arrived at Victoria Park during the summer.

Following two heavy defeats to Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday, the team bounced back with a comprehensive win over Northampton Town in midweek.

And Wadsworth says they will need to show the same kind of determination if they are to pick up a positive result in front of the Sky Sports cameras at MK Dons on Saturday (12.15pm kick-off).

"I think MK Dons are a very good footballing team and they have a very good home record," he told Pools Player.

"They have some exciting players and I'm sure it will be a tough nut to crack for us but our away form has been pretty good so we're looking forward to it.

"When you're on television it adds a bit of interest and excitement so we want to put on a good performance for ourselves and the watching public.

"This group of players have shown that they can have a bad result and respond well and quickly, which is a sign of strong character.

"I think if they continue what they did on Tuesday in to Saturday then that will give us a really good chance of getting a result."
